Why Virtual & What to Expect
Why Virtual?
Convenience:
Providers require virtual because this platform fits easily into a busy schedule. In-person meetings are no longer feasible.
Aligned Access to Information:
Virtual 15-minute meeting learning time intervals are manageable preventing the feelings of being overwhelmed.
Remain Patient Care Focus:
Providers prefer not to leave clinic for in-person meetings reducing travel, while dedicating more time to patients.
Resource Efficient:
Virtual meetings are cost-effective, allocating resources more efficiently, whether it is time, money, or staff.
Enhanced Communication:
Virtual platforms provide tools to enhance communication with screen sharing and real-time data exchange.
Flexibility:
Providers can schedule meeting times that are most convenient for them, including meeting times outside of traditional office hours.
Health & Safety:
Virtual meetings reduce the risk of exposure to infectious diseases, vital consideration for immunocompromised patients.
Accommodating HCP Workloads:
Most importantly - Know the AUDIENCE & Pre-Call Plan Accordingly
- The type of audience to expect during a virtual connection can be found on this Network Liaison website: > Liaison HOME >Upcoming Meetings & Events Network > View Details Tab > Additional Details.
- It is the sole responsibility of the presenter(s) to know and understand the audience to which they are speaking to.
- An HCP can include the following: MD's, PharmD's, RN's, and APP's
- Attendance of specific HCP's nor specific HCP titles is not guaranteed.
- Network Liaison is NOT responsible and WILL NOT make suggestions regarding who should present, type of information to present, slides and/or materials that should be used during a presentation.
- All industry, companies and/or persons presenting are required to provide appropriate information based on individual industry/company internally defined guidelines.
When entering the Network Liaison Zoom Meeting
- When entering the Network Liaison Zoom Meeting industry will first enter a virtual "Waiting Room".
- Network Liaison will connect with industry direct through "chat" while in the waiting room to provide further direction.
- Please use the "chat" while in the waiting room to let us know your full name, title, and company. This will allow the moderator to announce industry properly when everyone (presenter & audience) is placed into the main education room.
- Make sure that slides are pulled up and ready to share upon entry into the main education room. The moderator will confirm slides are seen by audience prior to official time start.
- Once industry is introduced and slides are confirmed making sure that all attendees can see slides, the Network Liaison moderator will formally pass the presentation time to industry.
- Expect that the moderator will interrupt, ask for final questions and close the presentation at the 15-minute mark if running into overtime.
Audience Feedback - what works Best...
- Presentation works BEST when industry covers two main points of interest: 1 ) Explain the overall 15-minute Agenda initially and 2) at the end of the call industry begins to wrap up their own presentation.
- When closing out the call, best practices include the following statements: "In Closing", "During These Last Few Minutes", "Being Respectful of Your Time, We Will Close With", then ask for questions and finally close presentation.
